No, they must always live in pairs or groups. They are very sociable and hate to be by themselves. They must always have a friend with them unless you have enough time to completly commit to them.

Can Guinea Pigs live alone?
How much should I feed my Guinea Pigs a day?
I usally top up their bowl whenever it is empty so they don't leave anything as I feed them the mixed food instead of pellets. They also need plenty of hay everyday because it helps keep their teeth short and healthy as they grow all the time. It also keeps them nice and toasty.
Should I breed my Guinea Pigs?
Breeding any guinea pig is extremely risky. Each female that is bred has a 1 in 4 risk of dying as a direct result of complications during pregnancy or birth, or toxemia after birth. Breeding guinea pigs over the age of 10 months is incredibly risky and dangerous for the female. The pelvic bones stiffen after this age and make birthing even more difficult than it already is and increases the female guinea pig's risk of dying during or shortly after the birth. These stats are just for deaths as a direct result - a huge number of guinea pigs will also die because of complications during recovery and confusion when being re-introduced to cage-mates. Please also note that there are far too many guinea pigs for the number of people willing to own one at present. A litter of pups can be up to eight in numbers. . Know that breeding guinea pigs can require up to 4 cages/hutches and the amount of costs for food, bedding etc. could increase be 5x.
But it is up to you as a responsible owner. Please don't take any risks though for the safety of your Animals.
